*Position for the Collingwood area*

Our client who is a respected supplier of high end home building products has partnered with Hubble Talent to source a Business Development Manager who will hunt new business (contractors and consumers) directly in an assigned territory of Collingwood, Ontario. This organization has been servicing the region north of Toronto for over 30 years - a collaborative, customer centric and dedicated team is what this Business Development Manager will experience.

What the role will entail:

  • Service existing and new accounts.  
  • Prospect and qualify for new sales opportunities in a timely fashion.  
  • Process quotes for current and potential customers.  
  • Accurately input orders into the quoting tool, generate any special quotes, drawing requests and sites mull/glaze documentation that is required to capture all costs and determine delivery dates.  
  • Provide technical support, literature, and other support materials to customers.  
  • First point of contact for builders/homeowners related to service issues. Expedite the resolution of customer problems to maximize satisfaction. - Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments as required.  
  • Works closely with the A/R Department to ensure accounts are collected in a timely manner.  
  • Monitor the competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.  
  • Participate in trade shows, training, and associated meetings, as required.  
  • Maintain professional appearance and personality. Branded Clothing will be provided, but is not required.  
  • If a site visit is required for a project, ensure that all safety measures are taken. Hard hats and safety shoes might be required. Confirm with the client beforehand. If extra equipment or clothing is required, the business will either provide it, or make alternate arrangements.  
  • As an extension of the business, you will be expected to interact directly with retail and trade clients throughout all phases of the sales process.
  • You will be responsible for identifying each customer's needs and suggesting appropriate products to suit those needs.  
  • You will be expected to continue learning about all products and services offered by the business so that clients can make informed decisions for their projects.

Only candidates that reside 30 minutes from the Collingwood area will be contacted - no exceptions.

Skills and qualifications :

  • 4+ years of business development sales experience from at least one or more industries: flooring, blinds, fixturing, appliance, lumber, home building.
  • A business acumen that is built on being customer centric.
  • One who enjoys being out on the road.
  • Collaborative, attention to detail and an autonomous work ethic.
